I’m Andrea Logan.

I’ve been helping dogs & their people

my entire life.

I can help you have a dog you truly enjoy having as part of the family.

We offer dog training in the Snoqualmie Valley (North Bend, Snoqualmie, Fall City and Carnation), Issaquah and Sammamish. We will travel to neighboring cities for a small travel fee.

Though I have worked in dog rescue for over 20 years, my journey really began in 2007 with a dog named Roman.  We fostered several dogs before Roman came into our home and our hearts.  Roman was a large german shepherd about four years old. I thought I was experienced – having had dogs my whole life including german shepherds.

The first three months were perfect.  Roman seemed fine with other dogs and cats, and great with people.  We had parties and he was the perfect gentleman.

Then the challenges began.  Roman aggressively went after an appliance repair man who came to the house.  He menaced more than one friend and family member. You could simply not walk into our house without the proper introduction or Roman would likely bite you.  In addition, he decided he wanted to kill the cats, and one day attacked our lab, opening a large wound in our Kenai’s side requiring stitches.

I had a dangerous dog in my house and I was horrified and heartbroken.

We worked with one great trainer who did help us, but we started hitting a wall.  Something wasn’t right – our progress was stalled and we were managing a very difficult situation.  I felt like I was in a power struggle with a large, sometimes aggressive dog.  Fortunately, a friend recommended an amazing trainer named Gretchen who confirmed we needed to change the way we did things with Roman.  She taught us how to manage Roman and earn his respect.  We couldn’t make this formidable 120 lb german shepherd do anything, we had to make him want to.  Gretchen saved his life and I began my journey working with all kinds of challenging dogs.

We built an amazing bond of love, leadership and respect with Roman.  Are you struggling with your dog’s behavior?

I have been there.  I can help you.

Fast forward years later.

Joe and I started fostering again – primarily Malinois dogs and mixes.  We saw behavioral challenges of an even more intense level.  With our assessment, training and structure, most of these dogs went on to amazing homes, and one went into training to be a working dog (law enforcement for fish and wildlife).

I have been a board member with a local Snoqualmie Valley nonprofit, Valley Animal Partners since 2005. In additional I have fostered and rehabilitated shelter and rescue dogs for several years. I offer behavioral workshops to the community to help people with their dogs. I have founded and run several animal welfare nonprofits over the years.
